A lot of effort is put in making the students well versed in the usage and application of latest software tools that are widely used in the construction industry. Chitkara School of Health Sciences (CSHS) has introduced a 4-Year full-time program in Optometry, which deals with the examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system.

The program is envisaged to develop a multipurpose ophthalmic manpower at paramedical level. The program will enable a student to become a competent person in providing service as an Optometrist at Tertiary eye care center, specialty eye clinic such as low vision clinic, orthoptic clinic, contact lens clinic, Optical outlets, can also provide Ophthalmic Assistant to the community as an Community optometrist, and can also provide services at Multinational Vision Care Companies.
