Our nursing degree focuses on interprofessional practice and care, just like it is in the workplace. The Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies is designed for health professionals and volunteers, as well as individuals interested in becoming a psychotherapist and focused on a detailed understanding of human experience and behaviour. This degree is suitable for adult students and those with appropriate life experience.

AUT counselling graduates are eligible to apply for provisional membership of New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) to begin practising as a counsellor.

The Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) is aimed at high-achieving graduates of the Bachelor of Health Science. It’s a great way to make your CV stand out and can also serve as a fast track into doctoral study.

Potential honours students will be identified during the third year of their bachelor’s degree. At this point you'll be encouraged to gain the necessary entry requirements during your study. If you achieve these, you'll be eligible to enter the honours programme on completion of your bachelor’s degree.

Sport and exercise science focuses on improving sports performance, based on anatomy, biomechanics, nutrition and physiology, fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
