Massey’s BA (Psychology) will help you explore how the brain works, and understand how we think, behave and make decisions. A Master of Arts (Geography) prepares you to be a thoughtful and knowledgeable local and global citizen. You’ll develop important career skills in research, spatial analysis and evidence-based examination of the pressing issues facing New Zealand and the world today.

Environmental science focuses on the connections between humans and their natural environments.

Managing and mitigating human impacts on the environment is crucial for New Zealand and the world. Our reputation depends on us becoming truly clean and green despite the increased pressure on the environment.

The Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) will see you become involved in Massey’s aims to develop a sustainable path for the future. We are looking to solve real-world issues such as managing natural resources and environmental impacts.

The qualification involves lab work and field trips to water treatment plants and a range of managed and mismanaged environments across the North Island. You’ll explore processes and investigate interactions between pollutants, soils, water quality and more. From there, you can help to address issues in the food sector, by combining environmental science with a major in agriculture, horticulture, geography or soil science.

We make economic decisions every day, whether we buy that 'must have' item and blow the budget or decide to wait until the item is on sale. The study of economics can help to improve our decision making. Economics offers a way of thinking about the world that enables us to make the best of what we have yet still improve on it.

The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Economics) will give you the equivalent of an undergraduate major in economics without completing a second bachelor’s degree. The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Economics) is a bridging tool for graduates in other subjects to get the equivalent of a major in economics. You can then apply for a postgraduate qualification in economics if you wish.

The Massey BA (Social Anthropology) will give you a different perspective on the world, global culture and society.
