A postgraduate diploma is the stepping stone to a research-based qualification such as a master’s degree. Massey University’s Postgraduate Diploma in Science and Technology (Zoology) gives you the opportunity to join the pathway to in-depth research at a master's level. The program consists of 90 credits of taught programs and 30 credits of research.

Whether it’s a dairy farm sale, estimation of orchard capital value, or getting a bank loan to purchase a new farm, almost every financial transaction involving land requires a valuation to support it. You’ll learn about land-based systems and agribusiness. You’ll gain specialist valuation knowledge preparing you for opportunities in the rural property industry.

Specialise in Without Specialisation for your Master of Veterinary Studies at Massey
Massey’s Master of Veterinary Studies (MVS) is an internationally recognised degree, most suitable for those who would like to undertake a combination of taught courses and a research project. The programme can be built around your area of interest. For example, you could choose to specialise in epidemiology or public health, or you can develop your expertise across other areas of veterinary science by choosing a MVS without a specialisation. There are a wide range of taught courses for you to choose from, depending on your area of interest and the specialisation that you choose.

A versatile major, the Bachelor of Business (Economics) trains you in understanding how the economy operates at both micro and macro levels. You will study the business environment, the role of competition and the connections between different sectors in the economy.  You will learn about the effects the world economy has on New Zealand business and people. This includes what the government can do to foster healthy businesses and advance innovation, but also about effects of excessive government interventions.

In this major you can specialise in a number of areas including: international trade and finance, resource and environmental economics, financial economics, managerial economics and public policy.

The world looks to New Zealand as a trustworthy provider of safe, healthy food. As a food technologist you will learn how to contribute to economic growth through improvements in productivity and Research and Development (R&D). You will play a key role in the development of new products and processes for the food industry.

Developing and improving food products, nutrition, health and safety are a priority for food technologists. You will learn how to produce products that consumers desire. That might be products with new beneficial characteristics, products that taste amazing, or that have longer shelf life but contain fewer additives

Global opportunities
By studying the Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours (Food Product Technology) at Massey you will learn how to contribute towards the global trend and desire for healthier food. Some examples that have been worked on by Massey students include:
