The Law School at Strathclyde is one of Scotland’s leading providers of legal education. 

Studying law concerns the obligations, duties and rights of every member of society in relation to their neighbours and to society.

All of our LLB graduates satisfy the professional requirements of the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates. This means you can continue to the post-degree stages of professional training required to become a practising lawyer in Scotland. 

Everything that we use, eat, watch, hear or wear is created using the skills of production engineers and managers. Manufacturing engineers and managers do not just create technological solutions though, they also motivate, organise and interact with others to make sure products and services are provided when and where customers’ needs exist.

The demand industry’s need for those skilled in this area continues to increase as the demand for quicker turnaround times, to meet the requirements of increasing global customers and to provide enhanced online shopping and service experiences grows progresses.

Manufacturing Engineering with Management blends a more technical engineering focus (such as mechanics, manufacturing, electronics, maths, programming, engineering calculations of a product's design) with production and management principles, and technology such as operational improvement and quality management.

This is integrated with manufacturing processes, design, CAD, rapid prototyping and digital prototyping technologies, software and practical skills to turn the design and production process into reality which is fundamental to global market success. Considerations include environmental impact, reducing waste and increasing outputs to meet targets.

Our MMath Mathematics degree shows how mathematics is applied to solve practical problems, meaning you’ll learn the skills that employers need. Statistics is the area of mathematics you’ll use to explore and try to explain the uncertain world in which we live.

The aim of the MSc Economics & Finance is to produce highly skilled professionals who can analyse, understand and explain the complex economic and financial issues that arise in a globalised world. 

Jointly delivered by the Departments of Economics and Accounting & Finance, you will study the interaction between economics and finance, which is now critical to understanding the world we live in. 

Training in these subjects will equip you for finding employment in the public or private sector as economists, analysts or consultants. 

There is a strong emphasis on developing and applying skills learned in classes to real-world situations. 

The practitioner seminar series within our Professional Development for Economists class provides you with opportunities to learn from senior figures in business, consultancy and government about the key economic issues of the day and their own journey to the top of their chosen career. The Masters course in Education Studies introduces the most important questions and problems by which the discipline of education studies is characterised, along with the methodologies and methods used to answer those questions. In addition to the core modules designed to give you a solid foundation for understanding educational processes, you'll have the flexibility to choose a pair of modules from a range of specialist classes to meet your personal and professional needs. Our approach to the English & Creative writing course is innovative, modern and friendly, giving you a comprehensive understanding of English literature as a core basis for your creative work.

With us, you can study everything from poetry, the novel and drama (stage, screen, and radio) as you would expect on an English and Creative Writing degree, but in addition, at Strathclyde, we offer the opportunity to use creative writing skills as part of your approach to literary criticism.

Our main focus in psychology is the study of human behaviour.

You'll study conditions of behaviour; how we learn, remember, coordinate our actions and interact with others. You'll also study the reasons for differences between individuals, such as personality or intelligence.
