Our MSci Immunology is a five-year Integrated Masters degree with entry into either Year 1 with Highers or Year 2 with Advanced Highers or A Levels. 

Immunology is the study of how the body defends itself against disease. It helps us understand how the immune system is tricked into attacking its own tissue, leading to diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes or allergy.

The degree is for suitable for those who want to specialise in a single biomedical science. It’s particularly relevant if you want to pursue a research career.

In Years 1 to 4, you’ll follow the same curriculum as one of the joint Honours biomedical sciences degree. In Year 5, you’ll focus on developing generic and subject-based research skills and knowledge. A significant part of this course is project-based.

This is a very topical area of study, with health concerns related to physical inactivity a growing cause for concern. With a broad range of physical activity and sport topics from which to study, we equip you with the knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in this field.

This course is delivered by staff from our Physical Activity for Health group, which has an international reputation for research, teaching and knowledge exchange in physical activity, nutrition and childhood obesity.

HRM is about the relationship between employers and employees and the ways in which people are managed in the workplace.

This MSc in Financial Technology (FinTech) teaches the big data techniques, computer programing, and analytics that banks and insurance companies are looking for. Journalism, Media & Communication
Today’s media industry expands beyond traditional print and broadcast journalism. The most successful professionals in today’s media are not only highly skilled in reporting, writing, editing and pitching their material, but they are also excellent communicators online and offline, and problem-solvers. Pursuing the BA in Journalism, Media and Communication will engage you in useful learning in a broad professional context, which includes a critical understanding of the media industry, while acquiring technical and professional skills in journalism, communication, information design and management, and using them in the dynamic media market of Glasgow and beyond. It will also allow you to take a second subject, which will enhance your expertise and university experience even further.

Law
There are a number of ways you can study law at Strathclyde, one such way being the BA degree in combination with another subject. Please note that studying law within the BA degree will not qualify you for entry to the legal profession. For professional qualifications in law students follow the LLB programme.
