The MSc requires you to take a range of classes from subject areas in chemical & process engineering, sustainability/environmental engineering and multidisciplinary skills. You'll take four in chemical & process engineering, two in sustainability/environmental and two in multidisciplinary skills.

Group project
You’ll work with a group of students from different pathways of the Sustainable Engineering programme. You’ll produce sustainable solutions to real-life industry problems. This project will include site visits, field trips and progress reports to industry partners.

Individual project
An individual research project is offered where you'll be working with our highly talented team of leading researchers on chemical engineering issues of the future.
MSc students will study a selected topic in depth and submit a thesis.Successful completion of eight modules, the group project and an individual project leads to the award of an MSc.

Psychology degree courses at the University of Strathclyde are a popular choice with our undergraduates. This MSci is a five-year Masters degree with entry into either Year 1 with Highers or Year 2 with Advanced Highers or A Levels.Pharmacology is the study of how drugs and other chemicals affect the body in health and disease. This area explores the development of new and improved medicines and the treatment of disease.This degree is for those who want to specialise in a single biomedical sciences option at Masters level. The course is particularly relevant if you want to pursue an academic or research-related career.

Following the recent global economic crisis, economics is more important and relevant than ever. Decisions on money, banking, interest rates, taxation and government spending affect us all, with global consequences.

Economics aims to understand the activities of the different agents in the economy – consumers, producers and the government – and how they all fit together.

Our degree will give you the ability to explain complex data in simple terms to different audiences. You’ll also develop excellent mathematical, statistical and problem-solving skills.

In Psychology, you’ll study human behaviour. Psychological research is motivated by the desire to understand both general behaviour (how we learn, remember, co-ordinate our actions and interact with others) and the reasons for the differences between individuals, such as personality or intelligence.

Studying accounting at Strathclyde, you'll learn about the preparation, presentation and interpretation of financial information that enables investors, lenders, management, employees, government and others to make effective decisions.

You'll also learn how to read and interpret accounting information in the annual reports of businesses and the financial information within the public sector and become familiar with the principles and practice of presenting information to those who manage all types of organisations.

Accounting at Strathclyde is fully accredited for entry to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in the majority of study combinations, as well as offering possible exemptions to other professional bodies, eg Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

In business law, you’ll study commercial law and business legal regulations. These include company law, competition law and human rights law.

Business law can only be studied as a second subject as a joint Honours option.
