These subjects have become increasingly intertwined in recent years, so there's a need for engineers with the ability to create and embed intelligence into the products and systems of the future.

Our course is one of the few UK degrees with triple accreditation from the IET, BCS and Science Council.

This full-time course will cover the practical, theoretical and technological aspects of 5G Communications Systems as they evolve over the coming years. You’ll gain expert knowledge of the latest technologies that will drive the next mobile, wireless and communications revolution, and evolve our current 4G environment to 5G communications enabled systems.

Applications will cover robotics & autonomous systems, UAVs, immersive systems and augmented realities, health monitoring, cyber-integrated systems, and smart grids. Data handling of the expected 50 billion IoT (internet of things) devices coming on-line to monitor traffic, weather, environment, smart agriculture, and even when your fridge runs out of milk, will also be explored.

5G will provide greater capacity, improved reliability, support at higher rates of mobility, and wider geographical coverage, at even higher data speeds and throughput and many new services and facilities.

The MSc Data Analytics is designed to create rounded data analytics problem-solvers.

Following the recent global economic crisis, economics is more important and relevant than ever. Decisions on money, banking, interest rates, taxation and government spending affect us all, with global consequences.

Economics aims to understand the activities of the different agents in the economy – consumers, producers and the government – and how they all fit together.

Our degree will give you the ability to explain complex data in simple terms to different audiences. You’ll also develop excellent mathematical, statistical and problem-solving skills.

In Psychology, you’ll study human behaviour. The MSc in Quantitative Finance has been developed to address the demand for market-aware graduates who can demonstrate an understanding of mathematical models used in financial tools, products and software.

The course is an innovative cross-faculty alliance between Strathclyde Business School and the Faculty of Science. It's been designed for those with a strong aptitude for mathematics, statistics and computing who haven't studied these topics in detail in their undergraduate degree.
