There are a number of ways you can study law at Strathclyde, one such way being the BA degree in combination with another subject. Please note that studying law within the BA degree will not qualify you for entry to the legal profession. For professional qualifications in Law, students follow the LLB programme.

There is a shortage of physics teacher across the UK. Our degree is designed to fill this gap.

In addition to the core physics syllabus, you’ll study pedagogy and get the hands-on classroom experience required for General Teaching Council recognition.

There is a strong emphasis on laboratory work and this will help you develop a sound understanding of experimental physics and instrumentation.

Your training in laboratory work is completed by a research project carried out in an up-to-date research lab, attached to one of the department’s research groups. This allows you to benefit from our lively and diverse research environment.

Specialist research equipment is available for use by our postgraduate students, including:

• Motion capture via a suite of six infra-red cameras
• A driving simulator which can be programmed to display different scenarios and be used in conjunction with other equipment
• Several types of eye tracker available which have been used to examine topics such as word reading and bias in attention to alcohol-related stimuli
• Two psychophysiology labs to measure electrodermal activity, heart activity, electromyographic signals and EEG
• Experiment generator package ‘E-Prime’
• A variety of questionnaires and ability measures including access to the online survey tool ‘Qualtrics’

The management of large complex systems engineering projects demands a unique set of skills that are not taught within conventional engineering or business management programmes.

The aim of our MSc in Systems Engineering Management programme is to develop systems engineering management capability by creating graduates who understand the complexities of the management situations they face, and who can apply systems thinking approaches and techniques to address the challenge of managing the complexity between the technical system being developed and the people and organisations that are responsible.
