A distinctive feature of this course is its topical nature. Glasgow has been undergoing extensive urban regeneration, including building on land that's been contaminated in the past. You’ll have challenging 'real world' issues to study close to the University. From this experience, you'll become able to translate the principles of environmental engineering that you have learned into national and international context.

Our main focus in psychology is the study of human behaviour.

You'll look at conditions of behaviour – how we learn, remember, co-ordinate our actions and interact with others – and the reasons for differences between individuals, such as personality or intelligence.

Due to the popularity of the course and performance criteria for entry into Honours (Year 4) the numbers admitted to Years 2 and 3 of the course are limited.

Studying accounting, you'll learn about the preparation, presentation and interpretation of financial information that enables investors, lenders, management, employees, government and others to make effective decisions.

You'll also learn how to read and interpret accounting information in the annual reports of businesses and the financial information within the public sector and become familiar with the principles and practice of presenting information to those who manage all types of organisations.

Our finance degree is unique in Scotland in terms of the range and depth of issues covered.

Subjects include the principles of investment and value, business finance and decision-making and the analysis of securities such as bonds and shares.

This course, which has been established for more than 25 years, offers a cross-disciplinary approach to the study of environmental management, policy, the circular economy, sustainability and sustainable development in both developed and developing countries. It is suitable for applicants from all academic backgrounds and our wide range of subject options enables you to choose classes to suit your background.

You’ll learn about major environmental issues and the circular economy and gain an understanding of the methods in which environmental considerations and climate change are used in development and planning decisions. • The School of Government & Public Policy has a number of research centres that relate to the topics covered and the content of the course. For example, the European Policies Research Centre is a leading hub for the study of regional development policy and collection of such data in Europe, a centre that is of increasing importance in the wake of Brexit.

Our MSc Satellite Data for Sustainable Development is a globally unique Masters degree which embraces the UN Sustainable Development Goals to offer a cross-disciplinary approach to the teaching of satellite applications, space system design, data science and sustainability.

The applied learning activities of the MSc programme is strategically aligned with the goals and interests of the University of Strathclyde’s Centre for Sustainable Development, to give students a wider exposure to the global movement that surrounds the 17 UN SDGs.

The course will have a focus on the practical use of satellite data in direct applications to SDGs through the analysis of case studies and engagement, through student projects and invited talks with start-ups and NGOs actively working in the field.

Students will gain an insight into the broad use of satellite data across various industries and will be equipped with the necessary technical skills and critical thinking to understand the challenges we are facing globally and develop innovative solutions, through project-based learning (some of them group-based) and a final individual project.
