• Our BSc Product Design and Innovation has been awarded academic accreditation from two institutes. This demonstrates the degree meets the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC) as outlined by the Accreditation of Higher Education Programmes (AHEP).

Today’s media industry expands beyond traditional print and broadcast journalism. As a politics student, you'll look at the work of governments and their policies and study the behaviour of those who govern - and who they are governing - both at home and abroad. You'll also gain knowledge of domestic and international institutions and issues relating to conflict and cooperation. We cover diverse and relevant issues, such as international terrorism to the 2014 Scottish Independence Referendum. Politics graduates can go on to work in a number of areas, with many pursuing academic research careers in the UK, Europe and North America.

This MSci is a five-year Masters degree with entry into either Year 1 with Highers or Year 2 with Advanced Highers or A Levels.Pharmacology is the study of how drugs and other chemicals affect the body in health and disease. This area explores the development of new and improved medicines and the treatment of disease.This degree is for those who want to specialise in a single biomedical sciences option at Masters level. The course is particularly relevant if you want to pursue an academic or research-related career.

Data handling of the expected 50 billion IoT (internet of things) devices coming on-line to monitor traffic, weather, environment, smart agriculture, and even when your fridge runs out of milk, will also be explored.

5G will provide greater capacity, improved reliability, support at higher rates of mobility, and wider geographical coverage, at even higher data speeds and throughput and many new services and facilities.

Naval architecture is an ever-evolving industry with many specifications and unique challenges. In studying this course, you'll have the opportunity to become a competent naval architecture graduate which industry is looking for.

This course addresses an identified market need for a postgraduate qualification relevant to the naval architecture industry, and which develops skills and knowledge in technical and engineering aspects of that industry.

Designed for graduates in naval architecture, offshore engineering and related disciplines, you'll gain advanced knowledge of naval architecture, marine design and marine structures.

Group project
You’ll be part of a group of three to five people working as a consultant team for 10 weeks. You'll address a practical engineering problem and have the opportunity to present the report to a panel of industry experts. The project will provide you with an enriched experience in the selection, conceptualisation, and designing of a novel vessel or an offshore asset. It'll also include a thorough market review, concept, and focused design studies and techno-economic analysis in a simulated design project environment.

This project will enhance your team working and communication skills.  It also provides valuable access to industry contacts.

The group project will be assessed by a panel of industry experts.
