As a politics student, you'll look at the work of governments and their policies and study the behaviour of those who govern - and who they are governing - both at home and abroad. Politics graduates go on to work in a number of areas, with many pursuing academic research careers in the UK, Europe and North America.

Manufacturing Engineering with Management blends a more technical engineering focus (such as mechanics, manufacturing, electronics, maths, programming, engineering calculations of a product's design) with production and management principles, and technology such as operational improvement and quality management.

This is integrated with manufacturing processes, design, CAD, rapid prototyping and digital prototyping technologies, software and practical skills to turn the design and production process into reality which is fundamental to global market success. Considerations include environmental impact, reducing waste and increasing outputs to meet targets.

Naval architects and marine engineers deal with the world’s largest moving structures and most powerful vehicles – from huge ships to sailing yachts, from fast ferries to offshore wind turbines and oil platforms.

Marine engineering is the engineering speciality of design, construction, installation and operation of machinery and propulsion systems for ships and marine structures.
