The demand industry’s need for those skilled in this area continues to increase as the demand for quicker turnaround times, to meet the requirements of increasing global customers and to provide enhanced online shopping and service experiences grows progresses.

Manufacturing Engineering with Management blends a more technical engineering focus (such as mechanics, manufacturing, electronics, maths, programming, engineering calculations of a product's design) with production and management principles, and technology such as operational improvement and quality management.

This is integrated with manufacturing processes, design, CAD, rapid prototyping and digital prototyping technologies, software and practical skills to turn the design and production process into reality which is fundamental to global market success. Considerations include environmental impact, reducing waste and increasing outputs to meet targets.

The Department of Design, Manufacturing & Engineering Management has a range of innovative purpose built design and manufacture laboratories. Our students have access to a range of workshops and facilities including a digital design and manufacture studio. It brings together:

The MSc Entrepreneurial Innovation & Technology is a highly practical programme that will help budding entrepreneurs conceive and crystallise their ideas about their venture start-up or new business project. 

You'll learn how to combine theoretical knowledge with a special focus on developing the applied skills required to engage successfully in entrepreneurial activity. 

The focus of this programme is the Virtual Incubator Project, during which you will work in groups to take your business idea to the next level. You will develop an innovative business opportunity and pitch to a panel of investors from the UK ecosystem. 

By the end of the programme, you'll possess both the mindset and skills to 'think and act entrepreneurially'. You'll have the opportunity to engage with a dynamic innovation ecosystem through business competitions, guest lectures, knowledge exchange projects and field visits.

Social workers have a responsibility to promote the rights of powerless people, protect the vulnerable and disadvantaged and address the causes and effects of offending behaviour.

Validated by the Scottish Social Services Council and closely aligned to the Standards in Social Work Education, the degree will give you a recognised professional award in social work. It will also prepare you for the challenging role of being a social worker.

You'll have the opportunity to work/study abroad, thanks to our well-established links with the University of Greensboro, North Carolina in the United States and an exchange agreement with the University of Malta.

This MSci is a five-year Masters degree with entry into either Year 1 with Highers or Year 2 with Advanced Highers or A Levels.Pharmacology is the study of how drugs and other chemicals affect the body in health and disease. This area explores the development of new and improved medicines and the treatment of disease.This degree is for those who want to specialise in a single biomedical sciences option at Masters level. Studying accounting at Strathclyde, you'll learn about the preparation, presentation and interpretation of financial information that enables investors, lenders, management, employees, government and others to make effective decisions.

Our main focus in psychology is the study of human behaviour.
