In line with today’s creative industries, our new BMus (Hons) Composition course offers a unique twofold pathway with specialisms in either Film Composition or Theatre Composition, with the facility to undertake optional modules from both the Film and Theatre strands to create a more generic course of study.

In the first year, you will cover the fundamentals of sound, audio electronics, programming, recording and production, and critical listening, along with the mathematics that underpins all these subjects.

In the second year, we want you to dig deep into wider applications of sound engineering in different domains, immersing yourself in the tools and techniques that add depth and variety to your engineer's toolbox.
