This A.A. degree provides foundation-level art and fundamental ceramics instruction. In the ceramics courses, students gain the experience necessary for entry-level positions and learn intermediate-level skills needed for ceramics study at the university.

The Business Department at De Anza College is one of the nation's leading two-year business programs, with courses, degrees and certificates that provide you with the competitive edge to excel in your career, transfer to a four-year university, or manage your own business.

We offer a wide range of business courses in management, marketing, human resource management, international business, business law, entrepreneurship and more. Our instructors are enthusiastic about sharing their in-depth knowledge and industry experience, while teaching practical skills in these fields.

Students pursuing an A.A. degree in Marketing Management prepare for a wide variety of marketing-related careers such as marketing events coordinator, retail sales manager, marketing communications associate, inside sales representative, sales specialist/coordinator, and sales support specialist. students learn the fundamentals of general business administration with an emphasis on marketing, advertising, selling, international business and management.

The Music Department offers a wide variety of courses to satisfy the diverse interests and needs of its students.  The department serves music majors as well as the general student population.  All students benefit from the Music Appreciation courses for both work towards a music degree and GE transfer.

All students may join a number of high quality performance ensembles, such as Concert Band, Chamber Orchestra, Chorale (large chorus) and Vintage Singers (chamber chorus). 

This A.A. degree program provides a foundation in music for students interested in a career in the musical entertainment industry or pursuing a baccalaureate degree in Music. Students are encouraged to take private instruction (not provided by the college) each term along with classes in their specialization.

De Anza College's offers a Project Management Practitioner AA Degree, Certificate of Advanced Achievement and Certificate of Achievement which provides "hands-on" experience for individuals who want to take on responsibilities of a project managers.

At De Anza we feel that that a role of a Project Manager is just not to initiate, plan and execute projects but they are at the heart and soul of aligning strategic initiatives with tactical actions to ensure that companies and group can grow as a result of successful project execution.

The De Anza College Paralegal Studies Program was among the first paralegal studies programs to be initially approved by the State of California in 1984. Since then the program has continually provided a quality educational course of study that incorporates basic legal instruction along with practical training that graduates will need to successfully enter the work force. Our graduates are employed in private law offices, public agencies and corporate law offices.

The Paralegal Studies A.A. degree programs prepare students to work in the legal field as paralegals under the supervision of attorneys. Paralegal duties include performing factual and legal research, drafting legal documents and correspondence, interviewing clients and witnesses, assisting attorneys in pretrial work, including document discovery and analysis, and at trials and hearings, organizing and maintaining case files and coordinating the use of technology in legal work.

The A.S. degree teaches students the fundamentals of conventional and CNC machine tools. Students learn to set up safely and operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders and CNC equipment, including vertical and horizontal mills, lathes and rotary multiaxis components. They also learn to produce word address programs with CAD/CAM software. Students are taught to dimension and inspect parts using various inspection methods, and to analyze materials and processes used in manufacturing. Upon completion, students are prepared for employment working closely with engineers in a research and development environment.

The Film/TV: Animation A.A. degree provides a foundation for students interested in pursuing a career in the film, TV, game or Internet animation industries. Students are exposed to professional pre-production and production animation methods including storyboard design, character design, 2-D hand drawn, 2-D digital animation, 3-D stop-motion and 3-D computer animation. Students select electives that will help build skills for such specific career goals as 2-D and 3-D animators, illustrators, storyboard artists, visual development artists and background artists.

We live in the age of the image, in a world of large and small screens. The Film/TV Department provides students with the critical skills to analyze media and the practical skills to create compelling content for spectators and screens of all sizes.

Integrating theory and practice, the Film/TV program at De Anza includes a comprehensive curriculum in Media Studies, Screenwriting, Film and Television Production, and Animation. We prepare you to transfer to a four-year university or to enter the workforce. 

Students in the Certificate of Achievement-Advanced and A.S. degree are taught the fundamentals of Product Model Making. Students learn the safe set-up of CNC equipment, how to design and construct three-dimensional objects using CAD/CAM software, and how to analyze materials and processes used in prototype model making. Upon completion, students are prepared for employment working in design-stage product development, and prototype and model making environments.

In this program, students learn network security basics, security policies and procedures, network monitoring, and risk analysis and assessment based on network security. Students in this program can pursue either a general course of study or a concentration in information security. Graduates find employment in general public or private management, federal or local government civil service, military service, law enforcement, and private security.

De Anza's Computer Information Systems (CIS) department has been a leading educational institution in Silicon Valley since the college was founded. Over the years it has developed a rich and diverse series of courses in many areas. Our courses meet the needs of both the transfer student and the industry professional. Students who take courses and earn degrees in the CIS department often go on to transfer to four-year universities in majors such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science and many other majors that required CIS courses.

Completion of the Art History A.A. degree provides students with a broad overview of the discipline of Art History from a global perspective. The program emphasizes visual literacy and research skills necessary for critical inquiry and analysis of art works, as well as knowledge of the technical processes of studio art relevant to the field of Art History.
