We offer four-year Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree programs that combine computing theory and programming skills, both of which are essential for solving problems in many types of careers.

Majoring in computer science will train you to create software applications in fields ranging from gaming to Web and mobile apps and give you a strong understanding of computational theory and best practices so that you can adapt throughout your career to ever-evolving computing capabilities.

M.S. programs require a minimum of 30 post baccalaureate semester hours; 24 credits of course work, including 2 credits of seminar, and 6 credits of thesis research. The M.S. in Pharmacy Administration, thesis option requires 27 credits of course work, including 2 credits of seminar and 9 credits of thesis research; non-thesis option 33 credits of course work, including 2 credits of seminar. In conjunction with the Graduate School of Business Administration, the department offers an M.B.A./M.S. in Industrial Pharmacy, an 85 credit, non thesis program, requiring concurrent graduate-level enrollment in both the Graduate School of Business Administration and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Fifty-seven credits in core business administration course work and 28 credits of course work in the pharmaceutical sciences are required.

The Data Science B.S. program at Duquesne University will prepare you to provide practical solutions to problems involving small data sets to massive amounts of data. This incorporates the entire data science pipeline, including problem formulation, data collection, high powered computing, statistical analyses, and meaningful interpretation

Students and graduates will be able to apply techniques of computer science to analyse, synthesize and evaluate solutions to practical, real-world problems. Students and graduates will demonstrate expertise in up-to-date practices concerning systems, networks, tools, algorithms, and advanced topics. Graduates will become self-sufficient learners of computer science. Students and graduates will exhibit knowledge of the ethics of computing and will act in an ethical and moral manner in their studies and their work.

A holistic, liberal arts approach to the study of theater. This means you’ll get a well-rounded education in the many aspects of theater, from studying the literature of the plays themselves, to developing skills needed both backstage in production and on stage as an actor. Theater arts students can develop their performance or behind-the-scenes skills in a new Black Box Theater that opened in the 2015-2016 academic year.

The International Relations major educates students in the historical, political, and cultural forces that shape the interactions between states, international organizations, multi-national corporations, and other international actors.

The Computer Systems Technology (CST) Program is an innovative online degree program that offers working professionals, military personnel, and other motivated students an opportunity to complete their Baccalaureate coursework in the field of computing technology. The Bachelor of Science in CST curriculum offers a blend of computer systems and information technology that creates a well-rounded professional who knows how to think analytically, assess and diagnose organizational problems, and select the best solution. As a result, CST graduates will be prepared to address the complexities of real-world technology issues, and to adapt to future developments in this fast-paced and dynamic field.
