CERE's Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science gives students a strong foundation in the natural sciences and mathematics, as well as provides them with a broad background in environmental issues. Biomedical engineering (BME), like any branch of engineering, uses scientific and mathematical principles to solve relevant problems facing the world. BME is focused on improving human health and encompasses many distinct areas such as:

• Drug delivery
• Biosensor development

Students and graduates will be able to apply techniques of computer science to analyse, synthesize and evaluate solutions to practical, real-world problems. Graduates will become self-sufficient learners of computer science. Grounded in the department's established commitment to the philosophical student of communication, the Master of Arts emphasis in Rhetoric & Philosophy of Communication (36 credits) provides students with a traditional liberal arts education for leadership in academia, law, and the marketplace. This program offers fundamental courses for a doctoral degree or enhancement of a liberal arts foundation in communication.

This is an exciting major that combines the study of three languages. Students choosing this major should have extensive background in at least one of the languages selected for the degree.

This 32-credit MS-BME program was designed to be flexible to serve both full-time students and working professionals seeking to become innovators in the biomedical engineering field. Students will have significant opportunities for research in state-of-the-art labs, working alongside accomplished faculty.

Graduates of the program will have the experience to perform research and engineering design for academia, government and industries related to human health. Additionally, students with the desire to continue on to a PhD program or professional medical education will have the appropriate basis upon which to build.

This program prepares graduates for licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) which is essential for employment in the mental health field and private practice. Students may complete the Master of Science (M.S.) in Addiction Counseling program within 2 years or also have the option of completing the program on a part-time basis. Students have the option of taking classes in the early evening and late afternoon. Graduates of the program are eligible for employment in mental health settings, working as out- and in-patient therapists, mobile therapists, substance abuse counselors, etc.
