Strong, ethical managers are sought by organizations everywhere. The Palumbo-Donahue School of Busienss provides management majors with core courses and electives designed to make you marketable in a variety of careers.

Combining this knowledge with that of another functional area of business, such as marketing or information systems, will better prepare you for successful careers in your desired fields.

Management faculty introduce you to best practices of leadership, business-government relations, sustainability, critical decision-making, organizational behavior and strategic project management and more while guiding you in how to apply such skills in today's economy. You are encouraged to join the student business association, the Society for the Advancement of Management (S.A.M.) and to take advantage of internship opportunities to help sharpen both personal and professional talents necessary for a successful career in management.

CERE's Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science gives students a strong foundation in the natural sciences and mathematics, as well as provides them with a broad background in environmental issues. Courses emphasize the integration of science, policy, and theory as well as connections to the local community and private sector.

We offer four-year Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree programs that combine computing theory and programming skills, both of which are essential for solving problems in many types of careers.

Majoring in computer science will train you to create software applications in fields ranging from gaming to Web and mobile apps and give you a strong understanding of computational theory and best practices so that you can adapt throughout your career to ever-evolving computing capabilities.

The Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy is your gateway to a career as a board-certified music therapist. The MA in Theology provides a graduate-level foundation in central areas of theology. The degree is especially appropriate for those who wish to teach theology at the secondary level or prepare for doctoral-level studies in theology. The curriculum is designed to equip students for more specialized study in systematic theology, moral theology, or Biblical theology at the doctoral level. Elective offerings allow students to pursue some degree of specialization, in consultation with his or her academic advisor, as is appropriate to his or her particular goals and interests.

The MA Theology courses and course offerings are rooted in Duquesne University's Catholic identity and simultaneously attentive to the University's mission, which includes a commitment to ecumenical and global concerns. Through completing required courses, elective courses, and an optional six-credit thesis, students will accomplish these student learning outcomes at the curricular level:

• Students will demonstrate comprehension of foundational areas of theology, including both Catholic and ecumenical perspectives.
• Students will analyze and critically engage both classical and contemporary theological sources.
• Students will present an integrated and self-appropriated stance regarding key questions and issues in theology.
• Students will demonstrate general knowledge of selected ecumenical, interreligious, and/or global perspectives as these inform Christian theological reflection.

Our Health Sciences major will provide students with the skills needed to both conduct comprehensive health, wellness and fitness assessments, and develop programming to address the needs of clients, patients and populations.  Furthermore, our students will be equipped to assess the outcomes associated with these intervention strategies and prepared to implement changes accordingly.  

For those students who may be considering pursuit of a professional healthcare degree, our Health Sciences major will serve as a gateway designed to prepare students for graduate degree programs in Medicine, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies.

Students from our Health Sciences Program will have opportunities to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to factor prominently into a variety of healthcare arenas, including human performance, strength & conditioning, corporate wellness, exercise physiology, health education, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and community health & wellness.
