The Department of Biological Sciences provides personalized attention, contemporary curricula, and modern facilities that are vital to the development of successful biologists.

Faculty expertise ranges over a wide variety of subjects from molecular and cell biology to microbiology, ecology, development, evolution, and physiology.

A holistic, liberal arts approach to the study of theater. This means you’ll get a well-rounded education in the many aspects of theater, from studying the literature of the plays themselves, to developing skills needed both backstage in production and on stage as an actor. Theater arts students can develop their performance or behind-the-scenes skills in a new Black Box Theater that opened in the 2015-2016 academic year.

This is an exciting major that combines the study of three languages. Students choosing this major should have extensive background in at least one of the languages selected for the degree.

Duquesne's 30-credit MS in Analytics & Information Management (MS-AIM) will prepare you to apply models, analytical methods and visualization tools to data, producing insights that lead to better business decisions. You'll gain distinctive skills, including:

The Finance major is comprised of courses in two broad areas:  Corporate Finance and Investments. 

In Corporate Finance, students learn to analyze business opportunities to identify those that create value.  Financial analysis boils down to sophisticated cost-benefit analysis for decision making in all aspects of business, and students majoring in Finance successfully pursue careers with major corporate and other organizations.

In Investments, students learn to structure portfolios of stocks, bonds and other financial assets that meet the objectives of institutional and individual investors.  The curriculum helps prepare students who wish to sit for Level I of the CFA exam series, and many graduates in Finance successfully pursue careers in asset management and wealth advising.
