The UB Bachelor of Science degree program in Finance provides an integrated view of the theoretical and practical aspects of finance for those who are preparing for careers in financial management, financial institutions, financial markets, law, government service, and related fields.

Essential skills in problem-solving are developed with an emphasis on wealth maximization. Financial problems are viewed from both their micro-financial and macro-financial aspects.

The Finance major includes the subject areas of corporate financial management, banking, and investments. The University of Bridgeport four-year, Bachelor in Science,  BS Industrial Design program emphasizes conceptualization, design, and production of products for personal, home, industrial, and commercial use, ranging from domestic and consumer products to medical, entertainment, and more.
Students learn to design and develop product concepts, visualize them using the latest computer technology, and build models in a well-equipped model shop or computer lab. Students learn presentation skills to demonstrate their creative and unique solutions. Advanced industrial design topics include ergonomics, materials and manufacturing, and marketing.

Cellphones, HDTV and computer monitors, lighting, furniture, home appliances, exhibition spaces, computer-aided design, hand-modeling: all part of the SASD Industrial Design Program. SASD is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), the governing body of undergraduate and graduate art and design schools.

In the recent years, biology has been modernized with the development of new and sophisticated techniques in molecular and cellular biology, genomics, and bioinformatics.

These techniques are utilized today in various areas of research, from genetics and differentiation to biomedicine, field studies, and animal behavior. At UB's Bachelors and Associates Major BA, BS Degree Programs in Biology, the department’s program of study and research reflect this modern view of biology. Students are exposed to modern concepts, and current methods of experimentation in molecular biology, genomics, and field biology within introductory courses taken at the outset of their studies. What is Medical Laboratory Science?

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics defines Medical Laboratory Science as follows: Clinical laboratory testing plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Clinical laboratory technologists, also referred to as clinical laboratory scientists or medical technologists, and clinical laboratory technicians, also known as medical technicians or medical laboratory technicians, perform most of these tests.

Psychology is the science of behaviors, mental and emotional processes, development, and social interactions. As you pursue your psychology degree in CT at UB, you will learn about the theories, researchers, and research findings related to how humans think and behave, and how we as a field try to describe, explain, predict, and influence human behavior and mental processes.

The University of Bridgeport Bachelor in Human Services, BS Degree Program provides students with academic and practical experiences necessary to enter the field of human services. As crime becomes increasingly transnational, its causes can no longer be viewed solely through the prism of local circumstances. Understanding criminal justice and social conditions on a global scale is now vital to stopping the proliferation of crime and injustice.

UB’s Master of Arts, MA in Criminal Justice and Human Security degree program, is designed to help you attain expertise in the worldwide political, cultural, and socioeconomic conditions that contribute to crime and its attenuation. Our program will help you gain insight into the cultural, ethnic, religious and ideological differences often discovered at the root of criminal acts, violence, and terror.

Among some of the in-depth topics covered in this program: domestic, international, and comparative criminal law; transnational crime; cybercrime, and cyberterrorism—all taught by experienced faculty from UB’s School of Public and International Affairs.

Human security, as it relates to modern threats such as terrorism, human trafficking, and ethnocentric violence, will also be explored.

The UB four-year, Bachelor of Science, BS in Interior Design Degree Program prepares graduates with the required experience for the N.C.I.D.Q. examination and state registration. In the course of their studies, Interior Design students learn about gathering design information and problem-solving in a range of actual projects, from residential to commercial design.

Students further develop technical skills for expressing design solutions, using traditional sketching methods,computer aided design (Auto CAD) and 3D simulation computer programs.

Residential, hospitality, corporate offices, retail spaces and health care: all part of the SASD Interior Design Program. Most of these projects are done in collaboration with outside design firms, which gives an added real-life experience to the students and allows them to make professional connections. SASD is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD),the governing body of undergraduate and graduate art and design schools.
