The public health AA pathway is for students interested in earning Bachelor's degrees in public health or related fields. This program provides a broad-level understanding of the goals and challenges of public administration and the relationship of these to more specialized aspects of planning, organization, management, and analysis in the public sector at the national, state, and local levels.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. The HCC Religious Studies Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in religion, theology or other religious studies. The broad nature of this pathway allows it to be appropriate for future studies in liberal arts programs, philosophy, and other humanities-directed disciplines.

The Psychology AA pathway is for students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology at a college or university. This degree provides the lower division psychology major courses required at many universities while exposing students to the core principles and practices of the psychology field.

This degree enables students to develop a strong foundation in research methods, statistics and biological aspects of behavior, and will offer a variety of elective courses to help students develop their knowledge of human behavior, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

Echocardiography uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the human heart. Our AS degree prepares you to perform diagnostic studies on patients in order to quantify cardiac disease, including coronary arteriography, hemodynamic monitoring and analysis, and electrophysiology studies. Graduates must pass national registry examinations to become certified echocardiography technologists.

The business administration and management AS degree prepares you to assume management or supervisory positions in business, industry and government. Learn basic skills in a broad range of business functions, including accounting, computer usage, management and marketing.

Nursing is a challenging, rewarding career. A nationwide nursing shortage means great career opportunities are available. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), our nursing AS degree program takes four semesters, and graduates are eligible to take the National licensing exam NCLEX. The nuclear medicine technology AS degree prepares you for a medical imaging specialty that uses radioactive materials to aid in the diagnosis, staging and treatment of illnesses such as cancer, heart disease and dysfunctional thyroid disease. Learn the function and structure of virtually every major organ system within the body.

Offered on the Dale Mabry Campus with clinical experience at several locations in the greater Tampa Bay area, this program is fully accredited and requires a full-time two year commitment. Classes and clinical internships are offered only during the daytime. Graduates are eligible for both nuclear medicine certification exams: the NMTCB and the ARRT-Nuclear Medicine.

Digital forensics (sometimes known as digital forensic science) is a branch of forensic science encompassing the recovery and investigation of material found in digital devices, often in relation to computer crime.

The digital forensics AS degree prepares you for a career in security concepts and computer forensics investigations. Develop proficiency in basic and advanced security concepts, computer forensics investigations, and other skills related to this field.

The HCC Sociology Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in sociology or a related degree at a university. Sociology is the scientific study of human behavior in society. Sociology associate students will examine a wide range of human interactions, including marriage and family, crime and deviance, culture and social change, group processes and interactions having to do with class, race and gender; diversity and globalization, social stratification and mobility and social movements.
