The engineering AA pathway is for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees in electrical, mechanical, civil, computer science, aerospace, nuclear, agricultural, industrial, and environmental engineering. Options in surveying and mapping, and materials design and testing are also available.

Careers include positions in the areas of design, testing, research, architecture, electronics, robotics, manufacturing, sales, construction management, and technical writing. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

The Communication AA pathway degree is for students who want to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. The Communication pathway is designed for students with an interest in group dynamics, health communication, persuasion, performance, leadership, gender issues, interpersonal and intercultural communication. This degree prepares students for a variety of careers in event planning, public relations, media, sales, management, marketing, human resources and hospitality.

The Psychology AA pathway is for students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology at a college or university. This degree provides the lower division psychology major courses required at many universities while exposing students to the core principles and practices of the psychology field.

This degree enables students to develop a strong foundation in research methods, statistics and biological aspects of behavior, and will offer a variety of elective courses to help students develop their knowledge of human behavior, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in databases, networking, and web systems to meet the technological needs of business and industry.

The clinical research professional AS degree prepares you to become an integral member of a clinical trials team. With the many advances in healthcare delivery, there's a growing need for trained healthcare professionals, especially in clinical research.

This new HCC program builds fundamental skills in adherence to IRB guidelines; safety for clinical research participants; coordination of clinical treatment and study visits; screening, recruitment, and enrollment of study participants; and clinical trial compliance with Federal and State regulatory laws. Clinical research professional training qualifies you to work in biological, pharmaceutical, or social and behavioral clinical research settings.

Coursework includes an in-depth study of drug development, federal regulations, good clinical practices, and the clinical research process. Supervised fieldwork provides skills application in protocol design, participant recruitment, regulatory compliance, accountability for drugs and devices, and auditing documentation in clinical research studies.

Cybersecurity Operations prepares students for a career as a member of a Security Operations Center (SOC). Students will learn how to become the first line of defense by monitoring, detecting, and analyzing security breaches. They will also learn to  work with other team members to respond and mitigate security type events.

This program prepares students for jobs in the field of computer programmer aide, junior programmer, senior programmer, data manager, programmer analyst, and mid-range computer specialist.

Individuals who are LPNs are eligible to enroll in an accelerated program leading to an AS degree in Nursing and subsequently be in a position to take the licensing examination. The program is designed to assist these professionals’ pursuit of an Associate degree in Nursing (ADN). This program is offered once a year starting in the summer term on the Dale Mabry campus. Nursing graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and, upon successful completion, receive the RN license.

Nursing is a challenging, rewarding career. A nationwide nursing shortage means great career opportunities are available. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), our nursing AS degree program takes four semesters, and graduates are eligible to take the National licensing exam NCLEX. This program is designed for students who want to work directly with patients receiving high-energy treatments using state-of-the-art and cutting-edge technology. Students will work with a physician to administer patient treatment. Students’ performance will be based on didactic and clinical competencies.

Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to apply for the national radiation therapy examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

The restaurant management AS degree prepares you for employment as manager of a restaurant, café, coffee shop, cafeteria or lunchroom, bar, or similar establishments. Or you may pursue a career as a food and beverage manager, dining room supervisor, fast food service manager, or catering professional. This program also provides supplemental training for those already working in these areas.

Coursework includes the management of selling, preparing, storing, promoting, displaying, serving food, and providing customer service.

Accredited by the American Culinary Federation Foundation, this program provides hands-on experiences in a simulated job environment with industry equipment, supplies and standards.
