The Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship AS degree provides opportunities to engage in ideation, business and financial modeling, effectuation, rapid prototyping and design thinking. Careers include business management, intrapreneurship and self-employment.

The HCC Statistics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in statistics or a related field at a four-year university. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. Cybersecurity Operations prepares students for a career as a member of a Security Operations Center (SOC). Students will learn how to become the first line of defense by monitoring, detecting, and analyzing security breaches. They will also learn to  work with other team members to respond and mitigate security type events.

This program prepares students for jobs in the field of computer programmer aide, junior programmer, senior programmer, data manager, programmer analyst, and mid-range computer specialist.

The HCC Philosophy Associate in Arts degree pathway is a for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in philosophy at a college or university. The associate degree provides students with the foundational knowledge required to enhance their understanding of philosophy as a critical inquiry of nature and human society, to analyze and evaluate major paradigms in philosophy from historical and contemporary perspectives, to sharpen critical thinking and argumentative skills, and to prepare students to transfer to a university.

This degree offers students a fundamental understanding of the main fields of philosophy, including logic, ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, social and political philosophy, aesthetics, and philosophy of religion while exposing students to a broad spectrum of philosophical theories. The clinical research professional AS degree prepares you to become an integral member of a clinical trials team. With the many advances in healthcare delivery, there's a growing need for trained healthcare professionals, especially in clinical research.

This new HCC program builds fundamental skills in adherence to IRB guidelines; safety for clinical research participants; coordination of clinical treatment and study visits; screening, recruitment, and enrollment of study participants; and clinical trial compliance with Federal and State regulatory laws. Clinical research professional training qualifies you to work in biological, pharmaceutical, or social and behavioral clinical research settings.

Coursework includes an in-depth study of drug development, federal regulations, good clinical practices, and the clinical research process. Supervised fieldwork provides skills application in protocol design, participant recruitment, regulatory compliance, accountability for drugs and devices, and auditing documentation in clinical research studies.

The hospitality and tourism management AS degree prepares you for employment in management positions in the hospitality industry, and/or provides supplemental training. The hospitality industry includes the hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, resort, club, marina, and other lodging organizations.

Graduates may enter positions such as catering and sales representative, guest services representative, food and beverage specialist, guest services specialist, hospitality supervisor, catering and sales supervisor, food & beverage supervisor, guest services supervisor, assistant hospitality manager, hospitality manager, and motel/hotel manager.

The Political Science AA pathway is for students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree at a college or university in such fields as history, pre-law, political science, or international studies programs. The program is broadly designed to allow students to cater the major to their own interests; however, it is recommended that students meet with a full-time political science faculty member to discuss their program interests in their first semester at HCC.

The HCC Mathematics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at a university in mathematics or a related field. The goal of the mathematics associates degree is to enhance students’ competence in the dynamic disciplines of mathematics and statistics, and includes coursework in college algebra, trigonometry and calculus I, II & III.
