Requirements allow substantial freedom for students both in designing individual programs within economics and in balancing the programs with subjects in other disciplines. Choose from a wide variety of economics courses, including relatively unique offerings such as American economic history, the economics of gender and baseball economics. Develop comprehensive musicianship through a combination of two years of music theory, three semesters of music history, one year of piano proficiency and a minimum of two years of applied studio instruction and ensemble performance.

The recently renovated Tyler Hall, the music department’s home base, contains a large theatre, two sizable rehearsal/performance rooms, many practice rooms, a state-of-the-art digital piano lab, a fully equipped multi-station computer MIDI lab, a music learning center and a digital multi-track based recording studio.

Through courses on marketing principles, consumer behavior, marketing research and advertising and promotion, the program introduces concepts and tools employed by successful professionals. It also emphasizes team-oriented projects that enable you to apply various principles of marketing management to actual business problems.

Participate in governing of SUNY Oswego chapter of the American Marketing Association. You’ll discover new approaches in marketing — such as e-marketing, social marketing, the role of media in integrated marketing communications and branding — through classroom discussions, case simulations and class activities. Meteorologists study the atmosphere and its physical and chemical characteristics and processes, weather patterns and climate. We offer specialized study in different subsections of meteorology, atmospheric and cloud physics, climatology, instruments and air pollution.

Participate in our pioneering Storm Chasers summer program where you'll forecast, pursue and observe extreme weather through the Great Plains states. Join the campus chapter of the American Meteorological Society and attend meetings of the professional AMS with your professors. Get on-air experience as a future TV meteorologist at WTOP, our on-campus television station. Find ample chances to present your own research.
