The Bachelor of Science degree program in Artificial Intelligence is one of the first degrees of its kind in the country. Students of this program will build the foundational knowledge necessary to design computational systems that exhibit “human-like intelligence” such as the ability to interpret sensory input, learn from experience, understand human language, and support intelligent decision-making. Graduates will have the skill-set necessary to meet industry demand for workers able to contribute to research and development in Artificial Intelligence across all industry sectors. The B.A. in Journalism provides skills and experience for media careers in print, broadcast and online journalism. LIU Brooklyn’s Journalism department offers a unique program in Sports Journalism, PR & Marketing. The B.S. in Biology is designed to prepare students for graduate or professional studies as well as for entering the job market. Students can elect to specialize in molecular biology. Students who elect to specialize in this concentration must complete all of the requirements for the B.S. in Biology. They also are required to take specific biology courses as part of their advanced biology electives.

B.S. in Computer Science degree focuses on the concepts and techniques used in the design and the development of advanced software systems, network designs and applications. Students in this program explore the conceptual foundations of computer science – its fundamental algorithms, programming languages, operating systems and software engineering techniques. In addition, they can choose from innovative electives, including artificial intelligence, database systems, graphical user interfaces, web development, e-commerce and computer networks, and system and network administration among others.
