A Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction (M.Ed.) degree from Susquehanna will make you a better teacher by deepening your understanding of teaching and learning. In as few as five semesters (34 semester hours), you’ll become a more productive, creative, and reflective educational leader.

With classes in curriculum design, research methods, critical media literacy, and inclusive classroom strategies, you’ll be prepared to lead students and be a resource to peers. Some of our majors continue their political interests through public service. Recent graduates work for the New York City Office of Management and Budget, Maine House of Representatives, Boston City Council campaign, PA House of Representatives, PA Senate, PA Governor’s Office, New Jersey Assembly and the Snyder County PA Commissioner.

Others work for non-profit corporations in education, human services and health care as lobbyists, data analysts, professors, grant writers and more. Graduates also pursue jobs in insurance, finance, publishing and human resources.

Our students are also ready to attend law school or pursue graduate degrees in public policy, public administration or doctorates in political science.

Physics courses in classical areas such as mechanics, electricity and magnetism, optics, and electronics with select classes in quantum areas give students the foundational knowledge to continue their education, step into a career or teach the next generation of Einsteins.

Majors work towards the development of a cohesive body of work that demonstrates a distinctive personal style.
