This option consists of four years at the University of Findlay and is completed with the awarding of a bachelor's degree. It's a program developed in consultation with representatives from veterinary schools who stress the need for both strong academic preparation and practical animal contact for veterinary candidates. Two special seminars provide orientation to the various fields of veterinary medicine and facilitate application to veterinary schools.

Observing at Findlay’s equine hospital (board-certified equine surgeon on staff). The University Equine Veterinary Services, Inc. (located at our English riding facility)offers emergency and routine medical and surgical services for Findlay's animal herds and animals belonging to the general public.

The English program provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in many diverse areas of education, public relations, communications, law, and marketing.  As an English major, you will develop skills to become a critical reader, writer, and thinker through the study of diverse literary genres, writing strategies, and research skills.

Creative Writing
The creative writing emphasis focuses on the development and writing of original works and promotes opportunity for self-expression, emphasizing the relationship between writer and audience, while also exposing students to the professional world of publishing.

The University’s philosophy program prepares individuals to use ideas and theories to address real-world issues in areas such as education, business, law, public policy, health care and the environment. At the University of Findlay, you can earn Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Management Emphasis. The required courses ensure a variety of experiences. Religious studies is most commonly known for preparing individuals for pastoral ministry. However, pursuing a degree in religious studies also prepares graduates for a wide range of fields and provides them with a skill set that is desirable to many employers.

Christian studies Emphasis
Students first learn the history of Christianity and interpretation of the Bible and develop their knowledge of the Old and New Testament.  They also gain hands-on experience through service learning.

The first semester is an intensive on-campus experience. Students will spend 30 to 40 hours a week in the classroom and laboratory. In addition to scanning in the laboratories, students will have the opportunity to use the University’s cadaver lab. Upon completion of the academic semester, students will attend clinical education for 40 hours per week at one of the University’s designated Clinical Education Centers. Clinical education is 35 weeks in length and totals 1,400 hours. This impressive amount of clinical education ensures that our graduates have attributes that employers are looking for. Along with the unique, three-semester design of the programs, students will complete their degree faster and begin their professional careers sooner!

Students enrolled in the Echocardiography program will spend 16 weeks in the classroom and laboratory settings learning normal and pathological conditions as they relate to the study of the adult heart. Students will experience a unique curriculum design that offers the opportunity to learn in the classroom a setting and then immediately apply this knowledge in the lab using state-of-the-art equipment.
