Sport Business Strategy at the University of Findlay is a highly dynamic program focused on hands-on learning.

The sport and event industry continues to grow in all aspects. Sports and entertainment are merging to create employment opportunities that require business fundamentals along with specialized knowledge. Entertainment, sporting, and event management are among the second-largest group of employers in the U.S. and the largest in the world. This area employs two out of every 10 people and accounts for more than seven percent of the world’s gross national product. Closely allied with the hospitality industries, sport business strategy has become a growing area of interest for many businesses worldwide.

• Pairs well with other subjects - Our program is flexible and pairs well with a number of other subjects, allowing students to individualize their degree to best fit their career goals. Students pursuing the Sport Business Strategy Emphasis have the opportunity to complement their degree with a minor or double-major in other areas of business which include hospitality management, marketing, public relations, and wellness and exercise promotion.
• Gain fundamental and specialized knowledge - This emphasis will provide you with business fundamentals along with specialized knowledge in facility management, intercollegiate sports, event planning, and travel and tourism.

The University of Findlay offers courses that will introduce you to criminal conduct described as violations of trust both domestically and around the world. Our courses are designed to prepare you for successful careers in many areas of criminal justice such as law enforcement, courts, corrections, risk assessment or juvenile justice.
Criminal justice majors benefit from an interdisciplinary curriculum that blends both academics and experience to bridge the gap between theory and practice. You will be able to write and speak effectively, apply analytical strategies toward solving complex problems, work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and exhibit the skills necessary to lead and manage people.

Throughout the entire program, expert faculty with field experience in areas such as fraud, crime scene investigation, corrections, loss prevention and juvenile justice will serve as your professors and advisors. Our dedicated faculty members focus on meeting your personal needs and career aspirations beyond obtaining your criminal justice degree.

An emphasis in computer systems prepares students for careers as network administrators or software engineers.  Graduates will be able to provide expertise in the design, monitoring, and maintenance of organizational networks.

To complete a Computer Science degree with a Computer Systems Emphasis you must complete six computer systems emphasis courses in addition to the computer science core courses.

This option consists of four years at the University of Findlay and is completed with the awarding of a bachelor's degree. It's a program developed in consultation with representatives from veterinary schools who stress the need for both strong academic preparation and practical animal contact for veterinary candidates. Two special seminars provide orientation to the various fields of veterinary medicine and facilitate application to veterinary schools.

Observing at Findlay’s equine hospital (board-certified equine surgeon on staff). The University Equine Veterinary Services, Inc. (located at our English riding facility)offers emergency and routine medical and surgical services for Findlay's animal herds and animals belonging to the general public.

The Human Resource (HR) Management Emphasis at the University of Findlay provides students with the skills and experience needed to become successful in a variety of industries. You will learn how to design and implement effective HR management systems that handle employee selection, promotions, compensation, and benefits throughout the operation of any enterprise. HR management students learn additional aspects that are crucial to being effective in the human resources field such as the "stakeholder concept" which enables you to make informed decisions that are moral and ethical and relate to the corporate atmosphere.

It's more important now than ever to be able to communicate quickly and effectively on multiple media platforms. As a journalism/digital media major, you will gain a well-rounded skill set that will allow you to work in a variety of settings.

The journalism/digital media program at the University of Findlay is designed to prepare students to become successful reporters, writers, content developers, storytellers and overall strong communicators.
