The English program provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in many diverse areas of education, public relations, communications, law, and marketing.  As an English major, you will develop skills to become a critical reader, writer, and thinker through the study of diverse literary genres, writing strategies, and research skills.

General Writing
The general writing emphasis provides students the opportunity to develop critical reading, writing, and thinking skills through exposure to a variety of primary and secondary texts. Students learn to recognize that all speech acts occur in a specific rhetorical context and are trained to communicate effectively in genres appropriate to those contexts.

• Pairs well with other subjects - Our program is flexible and pairs well with a number of other subjects, allowing students to individualize their degree to best fit their career goals. Students pursuing the International Business Emphasis have the opportunity to complement their degree with a minor or double-major in other areas of business which include finance, marketing, accounting, management, and public relations.
• Develop a critical and analytical thought process - Findlay prepares students for the challenges of the business world. By specializing in international business, students learn how to problem solve and assess situations that allows them to successfully operate in a world that is increasingly global.
• Valuable Internships - Internships are encouraged throughout the program in order to gain practical experience and professional networking.

The first semester is an intensive on-campus experience. Students will spend 30 to 40 hours a week in the classroom and laboratory. In addition to scanning in the laboratories, students will have the opportunity to use the University’s cadaver lab. Upon completion of the academic semester, students will attend clinical education for 40 hours per week at one of the University’s designated Clinical Education Centers. Clinical education is 35 weeks in length and totals 1,400 hours. This impressive amount of clinical education ensures that our graduates have attributes that employers are looking for. Along with the unique, three-semester design of the programs, students will complete their degree faster and begin their professional careers sooner!

Students enrolled in the Echocardiography program will spend 16 weeks in the classroom and laboratory settings learning normal and pathological conditions as they relate to the study of the adult heart. Students will experience a unique curriculum design that offers the opportunity to learn in the classroom a setting and then immediately apply this knowledge in the lab using state-of-the-art equipment.

Animal science/science allows you to work with animals in a research and laboratory setting. Students learn the science behind industry practice and work in careers relating to research and testing. Animal science/science may be the path for you if your interests are:
