University of Findlay's Environmental, Safety and Health Management Master's degree prepares students for leadership positions in the environmental industry. The Master of Occupational Therapy Weekend Program is a three-year program that consists of two and a half years of coursework and six months of full-time fieldwork. A new cohort begins each summer in June. The weekend program is intended for the adult learner who has completed a bachelor's degree. It is preferred, but not necessary, that a candidate has healthcare experience.

Exercise science is an interdisciplinary field focused on the study of maintaining and improving the health of patients and clients across the age spectrum. The Exercise Science for Health Professions Program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for entry into a wide variety of disciplines, particularly health professions graduate programs.

The interdisciplinary nature of the program provides a variety of pathways for exercise science students after earning their undergraduate degree. Our curriculum places a high emphas is on comprehensive biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and anatomy courses, giving students the foundational knowledge required to excel at the graduate level in healthcare professions.

Creative Writing
The creative writing emphasis focuses on the development and writing of original works and promotes opportunity for self-expression, emphasizing the relationship between writer and audience, while also exposing students to the professional world of publishing.

Biblical studies emphasis
Explore the Bible as a literary piece of history. Study both the New and Old Testament through analyzing the Prophet's writing and acquiring an understanding of the Wisdom literature.

In the classical sense, philosophy represents an ongoing inquiry into the most basic issues of human existence. Plato, for instance, viewed philosophy as the pursuit of truth, beauty and justice.  More broadly, whatever concerns people, concerns philosophy.

The University’s philosophy program prepares individuals to use ideas and theories to address real-world issues in areas such as education, business, law, public policy, health care and the environment. Students may select a major or minor in applied philosophy or a minor in applied ethics.  Additionally, individualized programs of study can be created in consultation with a faculty adviser.

Links with Other Disciplines

• Philosophy courses count toward graduation requirements in eleven other programs such as religious studies, political science, and criminal justice, just to name a few.

Individual Attention and Curriculum Flexibility

• Small classes make personal and meaningful classroom discussion and interaction possible. Program flexibility allows students to efficiently double-major to give additional value to your degree. Students have the opportunity to create an individualized program of study as well.

Findlay's children's book illustration major provides a curriculum focused on skills specific to the field of illustration such as drawing, painting, printmaking, design and typography while also integrating coursework in children's literature.  Students work closely with art faculty and the Mazza Museum staff to gain knowledge of the publishing industry and develop their skills in sequential storytelling.

Program Highlights

• Students in the children's book illustration major enjoy access to the Mazza Museum, the most diverse collection of original artwork by children's book illustrators in the world. Students attend annual Mazza conferences, interact with nationally recognized award-winning illustrators, complete internships with the museum, and volunteer with monthly educational events.
• The Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery provides opportunities for art management students to participate in the organization, preparation, and installation of shows. The Lea Gallery presents eight to ten exhibitions throughout the year, including works by students, faculty, and regional and national artists.  Students engage with exhibiting artists through gallery talks, classroom demonstrations, and public presentations.
• Children's book illustration majors have the opportunity to visit nationally-recognized museums and galleries through study trips abroad, annual art program trips to New York City and Chicago, and class trips to museums such as the Toledo Museum of Art and the Detroit Institute of Art.
