The English program provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in many diverse areas of education, public relations, communications, law, and marketing.  As an English major, you will develop skills to become a critical reader, writer, and thinker through the study of diverse literary genres, writing strategies, and research skills.

Literature
The literature emphasis teaches students to become scholars who can think critically and analyze written, oral, and visual texts in a variety of genres. The focus helps to develop an understanding of the relationship between writer and audience and teaches students to situate texts within relative social, cultural, and historical contexts.

While technology evolves at a rapid pace, the journalism and digital media fields have never been more exciting! It's more important now than ever to be able to communicate quickly and effectively on multiple media platforms. As a journalism/digital media major, you will gain a well-rounded skill set that will allow you to work in a variety of settings.

The journalism/digital media program at the University of Findlay is designed to prepare students to become successful reporters, writers, content developers, storytellers and overall strong communicators. As a journalism/digital media major, you will be able to explore career opportunities in journalism, digital media, public relations, organizational communication, marketing or the rapidly growing field of health communication. Whether you develop content for newspapers, magazines, television, radio, websites or social media, it all starts with core skills that you will gain in our program. Health informatics uses the same principle of processing data, but for the purpose of improving healthcare outcomes. The data collected at doctors' offices, clinics, and pharmacies plays a critical role in healthcare reform. If you want to be part of the driving force that decreases costs and improves outcomes in the healthcare industry, pursuing a career in the field of health informatics could be right for you.

The University of Findlay's Master of Science in Health Informatics Program prepares students to take on emerging healthcare roles and to be successful in a fast-growing field. Our program is offered in two formats, which provides our students with the flexibility to fit classes into their busy schedules. The program is offered 100 percent online or in a hybrid format, which is a combination of both online and on-campus courses.

Students can complete the Master of Science in Health Informatics Program in just two years. They also have the option to complete six courses to earn the Certificate in Health Informatics, which can be applied towards the master's degree later.

Animal science/industry allows you to work with animals without a heavy research base, unlike animal science/science careers or veterinary studies.  Industry students learn the science they need to be knowledgeable on the subject, but focus more on:

At the University of Findlay, you can earn Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Management Emphasis. The required courses ensure a variety of experiences. You will engage in individual leadership and emotional intelligence assessments, case analyses, research projects, team-based active learning projects and guest speakers, in addition to traditional classroom activities and discussions. This major places a strong emphasis on written and oral communication skills, teamwork and personal initiative.

With a degree in public relations from the University of Findlay you will be prepared work in corporations, PR agencies, nonprofit organizations or the government.
